The Ballroom
Our incredible Georgian Ballroom, built in 1776, is one of the most wonderfully mainained ballrooms in the country. It pses as a beautiful canvas for any wedding. Located on the first floor of The Town Hall, we can accomodate up to 140 day guests for a formal wedding breakfast and 220 guests for an evening reception.
The Council Chamber
The Council Chamber is an additional adjoining room on the first floor which offers you a secondary area where you and your guests can enjoy views across the Market Square after purchasing a drink from our fully stocked licensed bar. This space is also ideal for your evening buffet or to host a smaller and more intimate wedding.
The Balcony
Our impressive stone balcony offers a striking and romantic setting overlooking St Mary’s Church. Generously proportioned and covered for comfort in all seasons, it allows guests to step outside and enjoy fresh air without worrying about the weather. With bistro tables set against historic Georgian architecture, it carries a distinctly regal atmosphere — and provides a stunning backdrop for unforgettable wedding photographs.
The Bridal Suite
A light-filled, beautifully appointed bridal suite designed for those precious morning moments. With generous natural light, elegant surroundings and complete privacy, it provides the perfect setting for hair, makeup and quiet reflection before you walk down the aisle. Available to book alongside our wedding packages and bridal breakfasts, it’s a calm and luxurious beginning to your celebration.
